My name is Jessey. I’m a 16 year-old high school student living in Canada and most importantly, an aspiring ballet dancer. I started ballet when I was 8 and before that, I did rhythmic gymnastics for 3 years.

Since I started ballet, I was accepted to top ballet schools in Canada and also received awards and scholarships from various ballet schools and competitions. One of them is when I received a scholarship to prestige Bolshoi Ballet Academy’s (Russia) summer intensive twice. The first time was 2 years ago when I participated in YAGP (Youth America Grand Prix). My goal is to work for Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen, Denmark. I spend about 6 hours a day, 6 days a week at the ballet school in order to make my dream come true.

Few weeks ago, I attended WBAC (World Ballet Art Competition) semi final and I received 1st place for my classical variation. This is because of the generous donation from donors so if you’re reading this, I want to say thank you. Now, I’m preparing to participate in WBAC Final and YAGP. These opportunities will allow me to improve on my technique, artistry, as well as my stage experiences. I only have a year and half left before I start auditioning for companies so opportunities like this are very important for me.

As many of you may know, participating in competitions aren’t cheap. The registration fee alone can easily cost $100 / €65. This does not include the fee for solos that I perform. I also have to pay for costumes and transportation which as you can imagine, is costly so your donation or even to share this with others will mean so much to me.

Thank you for your time and your generous donation will lead me to make my goal come true.
